ACH Payment Solutions

Accepting ACH payments completes your electronic payment solution.
The ACH, Automated Clearinghouse, program allows merchants to do one-time transactions as well as recurring transactions. Merchant’s can eliminate the hassle of net terms and increase their cash flow. ACH was first introduced in the early 1970's as a more efficient alternative to checks. ACH has evolved into a nationwide mechanism that processes electronically originated credit and debit transfers for institutions nationwide. ACH is a rapidly growing alternative to paper checks and handles billions of payments annually.

How does ACH processing work?

With the ACH solution through AMS you can run automatic withdraws and deposits, turn paper checks into electronic transactions, consolidate corporate funds or accept unscheduled transactions over the phone or Internet.

  1. Your customer submits a payment allowing you to access their checking account directly.
  2. You enter the transaction information into your POS system / software. At the end of the day, the file is uploaded for processing.
  3. The ACH operator submits your ACH file for deductions from your customer’s checking account through the Federal Reserve.
  4. Your customer’s accounts are credit or debited.
  5. You will receive an ACH payment (similar to credit and debit card payments) electronically into your checking account.
